Jac\u00f3<\/strong> is a city on the Pacific<\/strong> coast of Costa Rica<\/strong>, southwest of the capital, San Jos\u00e9<\/strong>. The World Surfing Championship<\/strong> took place in Jac\u00f3<\/strong> in 2016 and changes location year after year. It began in the 1960s, with the city of San Diego, CA being the location for this prestigious world-class tournament in 1966.<\/p>
